Stage Blood

• You can make a blood bag out of cling film and sellotape. The bag can be taped to the actors body and will burst with very little pressure.
   
• When using stage blood always make sure you wash out any garment that is contaminated by the blood immediately it comes off stage. If the garment needs to be worn at the following performance then the sooner you can get it clean the better.
  
• Glo-White is very good for getting your whites back to pristine condition.

Candy Floss

You can make Candy Floss from coloured Hamster Bedding stuck on a stick!

ICE CREAM

First of all buy some standard ice cream cones from a supermarket. Next varnish them to make them stronger. Once they are dry mix up some plaster of Paris and fill the cones shaping the top to appear like an ice cream. The plaster inside the cone will help to stop the cone crumbling.

FAKE BREADS

You can make bread rolls, bagels, donuts and loaves using salt dough. The salt in the dough makes the dough rock hard when baked and it will keep for years.

If you want to make a pie then buy a cheap metal pie case and fold wire mesh over the top to make a lid. Cover the lid with paper mache. Finally paint and fire proof and you have an authentic pie.

DRINKS

In most cases when a show requires the character to drink alcohol they will not want to drink the real stuff - as alternatives you could try:

Red Wine            Blackberry or Cranberry juice
White Wine         Apple Juice
Whisky                Apple Juice
Vodka                 Mineral Water
Champagne          Sparkling Apple Juice
